A digital replacement for analogue phone systems
Our digital voice provides business telephony with a variety of benefits over the soon-to-be-retired analogue PSTN system, including cost savings, superior call quality, and the ability to amake and receive calls anywhere in the world
Landline services are changing to fully digital in the UK
From Spring 2025 through to December 2027, the traditional the analogue copper wire phone network (also known as Public Switch Telephone Network - or PSTN) is being retired. If you currently use landlines in your business, you'll be affected by the change.
Our Digital Voice service is a direct replacement for these older lines, and uses a technology called VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) which allows voice, as well as video and multimedia, to be transmitted over the Internet.
It also brings a wealth of benefits and improvements over traditional analogue lines, or a mobile-only approach.

As a first point of contact for your customers, your business phone system plays an important role in shaping the impression of your brand
Having a high-quality, professionally recorded introduction creates a polished, welcoming experience right from the start. It sets the tone for how people perceive your business. While AI-generated voices can be convenient, a real human voice often adds a warmth and authenticity that customers notice and appreciate.
Equally important is the design of your call flow. A well-thought-out system with easy-to-follow menus and smooth transitions gives callers confidence in your professionalism. On the other hand, a confusing or frustrating setup, or even annoying hold music, can do more harm than good to your brand's reputation.
We can assist with finding the right voice for your phone system, as well as helping to write the script for the menu system, and optimising the call flows.
The type of number you use matters too. A local number (e.g., 020, or 01322) can build trust and familiarity, especially if your business serves a specific region. A national number (e.g., 0345) can make your business appear more widespread and corporate. A mobile number (e.g., 07700) suggests flexibility and approachability, which might be ideal for sole traders, but may come across as less professional for larger businesses. We even have access to a wide range of more memorable gold numbers, helping you stand out from your competitors.
